Made this for my oldest grandson turning 23 years old
Ian is studying Graphic Art in Collage so I make his cards a little more Artsy than I do my other grandsons.
So what do you think of all the colors??? I’m trying to appeal to Ian.
When I saw this set I knew I had to have this Bird …..is it so funky!
LOOK at that face….so cute. Your going to see all my mistakes, believe me I make them. I colored on his eyes. I left all the light spots on purpose for this was my second try at coloring this and it looked way to dark so I left light spots in and liked it much better. I stamped and colored the bird twice for I wanted to 3-D the wing . The one on my card front I only colored all around the wing so if any of the wing underneath showed, You would see color
2nd bird stamped on scrap piece of watercolor paper I only colored the wing.
After coloring it a couple of times I finally knew the colors I wanted to use and how to shade them.
Blendabilities….I’ve been buying them a little at a time and I’ve got quick a few sets now.
PLUS did you see you can get them FREE right now with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration.
Calyso Coral light & medium
Pumpkin Pie medium
Daffodil Delight light
Cherry Cobbler light
Watercolor Paper 10″ x 5″ and scrap for second bird
Top Panel 4-1/2″ square
Memento Ink Pad when using Blenabilities
Inside card – same colors inks
Tube & Tile Sealant (from hardware store)
When the Tube & Tile Sealant drys it will shrink a little, so put a little more than the height you actually want. This is the produce I use for all my 3-D projects . I usually always do this of an night and it’s dry the next morning.
You may be thinking I have never heard of such a thing as tube and tile sealant on a card, I have been using this type of produce for over 16 years. It work great to give you a LIFT THAT HARDENS AND STAYS UP.
I put just a thin layer at top of wing , I did not want that to stand out, Holding down at top of wind so it is flat with bird.
Inside card, used all the same colors of Blendabilies…this is a wild and funky cake!
I hope you have enjoyed this as much as I have sharing it with you!!!!!
Have you tried the Blendabilies YET?
If you do not have a Stampin’ Up Demonstrator, I would love to take care of all your needs!!!!
