Have you gotten started on your Easter cards yet?
If your doing the count down ….you have 24 days till Easter.
This stamp is so very easy to work with. It’s Wood mounted , Single stamp in our new cases.
You may be thinking I hate to get this because it is limited because the verse is attached with the tulips.
Mask off the verse, something I will be teaching in the near further…if you have never masked before it will open up tons of new possibles in stamping.
Colored directly on to tulip with New In-Color Markers..
Colored base of tulips that are at the top & right, go around base of stamped image and on all dark outlines with Strawberry Slush Marker then colored over with Crisp Cantaloupe, being very light handed and leaving “light” areas on each tulip. Tulip to the left I colored only with Crisp Cantaloupe ( just to add contrast). But as I look at this I really like the 2 colors together the best.
Leafs were colored in Pistachio Pudding around outlines and following areas that give a dept in appearance…… to create a rounded effect.
Sticky Strip down the back two sides , at top secure trim making sure you have all the band on the backside of card stock, just the ruffle showing on the front…..from front of Whisper White card stock add a little tension to Ruffed stretch trim by pulling slightly (do not PULL HARD) positioning trim from the front, so you can see if your keeping it straight. IMPORTANT : When starting and ending with the trim, make sure you come all the way to the edges. I even have my sticky strip a little over the top and bottom for I do not like the ‘look’ were it doesn’t meet up with the top and bottom edge of your card stock. I’ve used Pistachio Pudding trim.
I have so many buttons and brads that I’ve purchased over the years from Stampin’ Up that I have not used all of them so I decided I really liked the look of the Filigree brad with a Regals – More Mustard brad in the center. I truly hope you have these if you like this look and want to case this idea!! Used Fabri- Tac to adhere on to card.
I hope you have had a change to take advantage of the Sale-A-Bration specials going on, you still have a few more days. If not I would appreciate your order and severing you with all your Stampin’ Up needs!
Next I brayed the inside that is smooth of my embossing folder with Crisp Cantaloupe ……placed my crisp cantaloupe panel on opposite side and closed, ran it thought my Big Shot with NO TABS. Gives a wonderful dept of color. If you would like me to teach this just let me know. OK
Ready to begin to glue all of these lays together and then adhere onto the Crisp Cantaloupe base card.
